McLaughlin Motor Car Company built cars with Buick chassis and engines as early as 1908, then was merged with General Motors in 1918 to become GM of Canada. Canadian models were branded as “McLaughlin-Buick” until 1942, after which the McLaughlin name was dropped. This McLaughlin-Buick Special was based on the Buick Series 40. Equipment includes a three-speed manual transmission, a Stromberg carburetor, 16″ steel wheels with hubcaps, whitewall tires, and woodgrain interior trim.
