The car was delivered from the factory in Polo Red and was reportedly repainted in 1982 following damage to the left-front fender, and the front pan was replaced at the same time. Exterior details include quarter vent windows, pop-out rear-quarter windows, a left-side mirror, and a chrome grille cover and bumpers. A Hirschman telescopic antenna has been added and the windshield seal, headlight seals, and the front trunk lid and rear engine lid struts were replaced in 2021. Close-up photos of touch-up paint repair, blemishes on the roof, and discoloration in the chrome trim are included in the gallery.

Cabin appointments consist of aluminum trim, a Blaupunkt push-button AM/FM radio, a Porsche-crest shift knob, a lockable glove box, lap belts, and Coco mats. Flaws on the right side of the dashboard fascia are shown in the gallery, the door switch rubber seals are missing, there is a hole in the dash, and the hood release handle is broken.
A four-spoke steering wheel with an aftermarket wrap fronts VDO instrumentation consisting of a 7k-rpm tachometer, a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level and oil temperature. The five-digit mechanical odometer has rolled over and now shows 91k miles, approximately 900 of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown, and the clock does not work.
The replacement flat-four is said to have been rebuilt with a 1,720cc Mahle big-bore kit and Weber carburetors in 1979. Work performed in 2021 included installing PerTronix ignition, rebuilding the fuel pump, carburetors, and shifter coupler, and replacing the engine sump plate gasket, valve cover gaskets, pushrod tube and seals, oil cooler seals, battery, shift rod bushings, and the fuel sending unit, filter, and lines.
