Chrome 18″ alloy wheels are mounted with 245/40 Bridgestone Potenza RE730 tires. The VR4 features four-wheel steering, and stopping power is provided by Mitsubishi-branded calipers over ventilated rotors at all four corners. The seller indicates that the ABS light is currently illuminated.
The front bucket seats are trimmed in tan leather and are complemented by color-coordinated door panels and carpets. 3000GT-branded floor mats line the footwells, and additional appointments include automatic climate control, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, keyless entry, and a factory CD/cassette stereo with a graphic equalizer and Infinity speakers. Wear is visible on the driver’s seat outer bolster, a mark is located on the rear seat, the front speakers have diminished in volume, and the cruise control along with the dimming feature on the rearview mirror are inoperative. Spyder-branded floor mats are included in the sale.
The leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel frames a 180-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and a fuel level gauge. Auxiliary gauges with readouts for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and boost pressure are located atop the center stack. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 29k miles, approximately 8k of which were added during current ownership.
The twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 features dual overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder and was rated at 320 horsepower and 315 lb-ft of torque when new. A 60k-mile service was reportedly completed in 2022 and consisted of replacing the timing belt and tensioner along with the idler pulleys, water pump, and related fasteners. The air filter was replaced and the oil was changed in August 2022.
Power is sent to all four wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle, which the seller indicates was replaced under warranty when they acquired the car in 2001.
Manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, a Spyder-branded car cover, and a front-end cover are included in the sale.
