Black 16″ BBS Mahle wheels have polished lips and are mounted with 195/55 front and 225/60 rear Bridgestone Driveguard run-flat tires. The car is equipped with Gazmatic shocks and braking is handled by four-wheel discs. The suspension bushings were replaced in 2019. The seller notes that the car needs an alignment. Adjustable upper suspension links are included in the sale along with a set of 15″ factory BBS Mahle wheels.
The cockpit features fixed-back seats upholstered in tan leather and joined by a matching dashboard, center console, and door panels. Wood veneer trims the dashboard and center console, and additional interior appointments include a Pioneer CD stereo, power windows, and a removable fabric dashboard cover. The air conditioning does not work, the upholstery is worn, and the driver seat bolster is torn. The trunk lining has heat damage. Factory dashboard trim is included in the sale.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 7k-rpm tachometer, a 170-mph speedometer, and gauges indicating voltage, oil pressure, boost pressure, and coolant temperature. The fuel gauge is inaccurate. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 95k miles, approximately 26k of which have been added by the seller. A factory steering wheel is included in the sale.
The turbocharged 2.2L inline-four features Bosch KE-Jetronic fuel injection. Service under current ownership included overhauling the radiator, replacing the coolant hoses, timing belt, fuel injectors, fuel pump, and accumulator, and engine mounts as well as installing a coolant overflow tank. The seller notes that the oil pressure gauge reads 0 PSI at idle when the engine is hot, and an oil analysis report noted coolant in the oil. A timing belt service is required, and the fire suppression system recently discharged due to heat from the turbo. The car last passed a California emissions inspection in October 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle. Service under current ownership included replacing the clutch master and slave cylinders. The CV boots are torn, and corrosion is visible on the underside.
