American Racing Torq Thrust 15″ wheels are mounted with 235/60 Goodyear Eagle tires. Work under previous ownership is said to have included the installation of Koni adjustable shock absorbers, 10×2.5” rear brakes, and traction bars along with replacing the parking-brake linkage. The seller notes that the tires should be replaced and the bushings are cracked.
The cabin features front bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, carpeting, and aftermarket seatbelts. The rear seats were removed and a flat fiberglass spare-tire mount was installed beneath the rear glass.
The wood-rimmed Shelby-style steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The seller notes that the temperature gauge works periodically and the fuel gauge reads inaccurately. The five-digit odometer shows 20k miles, approximately 300 of which have been added by the seller. True mileage is unknown.
The 289ci V8 features a chrome air-cleaner cover, a chrome alternator, a polished aluminum radiator, and aluminum Cobra-branded rocker covers. The distributor was reportedly rebuilt, the camshaft was replaced, and a Shelby-style intake manifold and a Holley 715 carburetor have been fitted. An export brace and a Monte Carlo bar are also installed. The spark plugs were replaced, the carburetor was tuned, and an oil change was performed in July 2022.
Power is sent to the wheels through a rebuilt T10 four-speed manual transmission and a 3.55:1 rear axle. The seller states that Tri-Y headers, a Shelby-style exhaust, and a baffled Cobra T oil pan were fitted in addition to a 1″ anti-roll bar.
The vehicle is accompanied by a shop manual, a first-aid kit, a tire cover, and spare parts.
