The 17″ Campagnolo wheels measure 8″ wide up front, 10″ out back, and wear Dunlop and Pirelli tires, respectively. Braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel discs. The steering rack was reportedly rebuilt under prior ownership. A control arm was replaced and an alignment performed in May 2022.
The cabin features bucket seating upholstered in black with perforated centers. Equipment includes power windows, three-point seat belts, a gated shifter, an upholstered firewall, a center console, and a DeTomaso-logo radio delete plate. The turn signal switch and driver’s door weather seal were replaced under current ownership, according to the selling dealer. There is a tear in the driver’s seat and door panel, the heater has been bypassed, and the air conditioning components were removed to accommodate the headers.
The aftermarket three-spoke steering wheel features a DeTomaso center emblem and fronts Veglia instrumentation including a 200-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer. Veglia auxiliary gauges monitoring amperage, fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure, are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows under 81k miles, approximately 1k of which have been added by the current owner.
The Cleveland V8 started as a 351ci unit and was bored to 383ci and modified in 2010. Work included installing a SCAT crankshaft and piston rods, Probe pistons, an Isky camshaft, lifters, and pushrods, Comp Cams rockers, Edelbrock Performer RPM heads, and a Quick Fuel 750cfm carburetor. Additional equipment includes an MSD ignition system, stainless steel fuel lines, an aluminum radiator with electric fans, and 180-Degree tubular headers.
