The body is finished in lime green and black #89 Datsun racing livery and was stripped to bare metal before being repainted under current ownership. The headlights, bumpers, and door windows have been removed, and exterior features include a fiberglass hood and trunk lid with external latches, flared fenders, a front spoiler, and front and rear towing points.
Silver 13″ alloy wheels are mounted with 205/60 Hoosier R7 racing tires that display 2019 date codes. Braking power is provided by front discs with Porsche 911-sourced calipers along with aluminum rear drums and adjustable bias. The suspension features the following:
The interior has been stripped and fitted with a roll cage and a Sparco racing seat with a five-point harness. Additional equipment includes a fire suppression system, a wide-view mirror, an electrical cut-off switch, and a Tilton brake bias adjustor and pedal assembly. A Painless Performance Products 10-circuit fuse panel and wiring harness have been installed.
The MOMO wheel fronts a fabricated dash panel that houses a 10k-rpm tachometer and gauges for fuel pressure, coolant temperature, oil pressure, oil temperature, and voltage. The hour meter indicates 29 hours.
A 10-gallon ATL fuel cell is mounted in the trunk along with a Holley electric fuel pump.
The replacement 1.8-liter L18 inline-four was built by Rebello Racing of Antioch, California, and features dual Mikuni 44mm carburetors and an MSD 6AL ignition. A dynamometer test report is provided in the gallery.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through an Elite Dog Box five-speed manual transmission with Option 2 ultra-close gearing and an R160 differential with a Cusco limited-slip differential and 4.44:1 gearing. A Quarter Master Pro 5.5” clutch and Erimish CV axles are said to have been installed.
