The selling dealer states the body was refinished in red following repair work performed by Sargent’s Auto Rebuild in Snohomish, Washington, and work is said to have included stripping the car before replacing portions of the front end, taillight panel, and weather seals. The chrome and stainless-steel trim was replaced according to the selling dealer, who notes that some badges were not reapplied but are included in the sale. The car was modified with a GT-style rear valance with integrated exhaust exits as well as LED lighting, and the front section of the wiring harness has reportedly been replaced.
Chrome-finished Styled 15″ wheels were installed during the refurbishment along with 205/60 Goodyear Eagle GT HR tires. The selling dealer states that the front hubs and rear drum components were also replaced during the refurbishment, and replacement suspension and steering components are said to include the following:
The cabin was refurbished with front bucket seats reupholstered in red vinyl and accompanied by a matching rear bench along with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a heater, lap belts for the front occupants, a center console, crank windows, and a push-button AM radio.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts a horizontal 120-mph speedometer flanked by auxiliary gauges. An AutoMeter 8k-rpm tachometer is mounted to the steering column. The five-digit odometer shows 6k miles, and total mileage is unknown.
The 289ci V8 was overhauled during the refurbishment, and the selling dealer states that ARP hardware, a COMP Cams camshaft, high-flow water and oil pumps, and PerTronix ignition were fitted. Additional modifications include an Edelbrock intake manifold and carburetor, ceramic-coated headers, a dual exhaust system, and a gold-finished air cleaner and valve covers.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a three-speed C4 automatic transmission said to have been rebuilt and fitted with a shift kit. The 3.25:1 limited-slip differential was installed in 2005, and the third member was replaced in August 2006 due to defective pinion bearings.
