The bumpers and rocker-panel decos have been removed, and features include 911R-style engine lid hinges, Maltese cross-branded torsion bar covers, custom door handles, a driver-side mirror, a Hirschman blue-tip antenna, yellow headlight lenses, Marchal driving lamps, and a GT Werks central fuel filler cap extending through the hood.
Alloy 15″ Rudge-style alloy wheels feature two-eared knock-off hubs and are mounted with 195/65 BFGoodrich Advantage T/A tires. Koni shocks are fitted at all four corners, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes.
The cabin features Recaro-style fixed-back bucket seats trimmed in red quilted leather along with a matching dash pad, door panels, and rear bulkhead. Blue square-weave carpets line the floors, and additional equipment includes a padded roll bar, a WEVO shifter, lap belts, a VDO clock, a Porsche-branded radio blanking plate, a USB outlet, and an aftermarket switch for the fog lights. Matching quilted red leather upholstery extends to the front trunk and engine compartment.
The Les Leston wood-rimmed steering wheel features a Porsche crest horn button and frames green-letter VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline, a 120-mph speedometer, and a combination gauge. A factory steering wheel with a red leather wrap is included in the sale and can be seen in the gallery. The five-digit odometer shows 4,400 miles, and total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 2,332cc flat-four is said to have been built by The Wright Gearbox of Riverside, California, and features dual Weber 48 IDA carburetors. Additional modifications reportedly include:
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transaxle that is reportedly equipped with a Vic Skirmats “tall” fourth gear. A Stage 1 clutch kit was installed during the refurbishment, and an A-1 Sidewinder exhaust system is fitted.
