The NSX featured aluminum bodywork, and this example is finished in Formula Red with a black roof panel and pillars. Features include pop-up headlights, an integrated rear wing, side air intakes, power-adjustable side mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets. A January 1998 entry of the Carfax report lists “severe damage” to the front, while the results of a vehicle condition report performed in January 2021 are presented in the gallery below. Scratches are located on the front lip spoiler, and the front bumper cover, hood, passenger door, front fenders, and rear bumper cover are said to have been refinished under prior ownership.
Staggered-diameter 15″ and 16″ five-spoke forged wheels are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R tires measuring 205/50 up front and 225/50 at the rear. The car features a four-wheel double-wishbone suspension with front and rear stabilizer bars, and braking is handled by NSX-branded calipers over vented rotors at each corner. Replacement CV boots were reportedly installed in January 2020.
The cabin features power-adjustable sport seats upholstered in black leather, which extends to the dashboard as well as the upper center console and door surfaces. NSX-branded floor mats line the footwells, and interior amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, a Bose sound system, a Zanardi Edition shift knob, and a cassette stereo. The stainless-steel door sill plates are stamped with the car’s serial number. Wear is visible on the driver’s seat.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a tachometer with an 8,000-rpm redline, a 188-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows just over 41k miles, approximately 1,300 of which were added under current ownership.
The mid-mounted 3.0-liter V6 features VTEC variable valve timing and was factory rated at 270 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. Replacement valve cover gaskets were reportedly fitted in January 2020, and service in 2022 is said to have consisted of replacing the main relay and battery in addition to changing the oil.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery below.
The window sticker lists initial delivery to Acura Carland of Duluth, Georgia, along with factory colors, equipment, and a total vehicle price of $70,200.
