The car is said to have received rust repairs and bodywork in 2008 by Alan Auto of Portland, Maine, and it was subsequently refinished in two-stage Pearl White. Features include chrome bumpers and trim, dual side mirrors, rubber mud flaps, and twin exhaust outlets.
Silver 15″ steel wheels wear polished hubcaps and are wrapped in 165-series Michelin XZX tires that show date codes from 2009. The rear suspension was reportedly overhauled during previous ownership, and recent service is said to have included a brake fluid flush.
The interior was refurbished during previous ownership and features black leather seat upholstery accompanied by gray carpeting. Additional appointments include bright-finished trim on the dashboard and door panels, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, and rear luggage straps. The upper dash cover was reportedly replaced during current ownership. Cracks are noted around the switch gear, and the seller notes that the air conditioning system does not blow cold.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation consisting of a replacement 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The seller reports that the tachometer reads inaccurately and that the oil pressure gauge needle sticks. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows less than 1k miles, approximately 800 of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The 1.8-liter B18 inline-four features dual SU carburetors and was rated at 108 horsepower and 110 lb-ft of torque when new. Recent service reportedly included adjusting the carburetors and replacement of both fuel filters.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed M41 manual transmission with a Laycock overdrive unit. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery.
Service and owner’s manuals are included along with correspondence letters from William Jeanes, previous registration cards, spare parts, and receipts and photographs from the refurbishment.
