Features include an electric sunroof, driving lights, a left-side mirror, pop-out quarter windows, a twin-grille deck lid, a luggage rack, European-specification taillights, and body-color bumpers with chrome overriders. The front hood seal was replaced in 2022.
Chrome-finished 15” steel wheels wear Porsche-crest hubcaps and are mounted with 165/80 Nexen SB-802 tires with 2021 date codes. A matching spare is stored in the front trunk along with a tool roll and a jack. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drum brakes, and the master cylinder was replaced and the system was flushed in September 2022.
The cabin was refreshed during previous ownership and features front bucket seats and rear jump seats that were reupholstered in black leather along with a color-coordinated dashboard pad and door panels. The square-weave carpets are protected by Coco floor mats, and the car is also equipped with a clock mounted in the center of the body-color dashboard as well as a push-button Blaupunkt radio and lap belts for front seat occupants.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts VDO instrumentation consisting of a central tachometer flanked by a 120-mph speedometer and a combination gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 31k miles, approximately 1k of which have been added under current ownership. True mileage is unknown.
The replacement air-cooled 1.6L flat-four was reconditioned in September 2022, at which time the dual Solex carburetors sourced from Dansk were installed. Work included powder coating the engine tin, rebuilding the starter and fuel pump, and replacing the rod bearings, piston rings, push rod tubes, ignition components, and gaskets and seals.
The fuel system was overhauled with a replacement fuel tank, sender, and lines. The intake manifolds, linkages, and oil pressure switch were also replaced, and the carburetors were tuned in preparation for the sale. The starter motor relay and the battery have also been replaced, according to the seller.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a replacement four-speed manual transaxle, and the clutch disc and release bearing were replaced in September 2022. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery.
