Silver 15″ “Deep Six” Fuchs wheels with black insets wear painted Porsche crest center caps and are mounted with 195/60 Yokohama Avid Ascend tires. A chrome ventilated steel wheel with a Nexen tire is located in the front trunk. Bilstein shocks were installed in 2003. The brake master cylinder and hoses were replaced in 2015, and the calipers were overhauled in 2019.
The cabin features high-back bucket seats sourced from a 1974 911 that were reupholstered in black leather with cloth houndstooth inserts before being installed in 2008. Replacement black carpets were fitted in 2010, and additional equipment includes aluminum dash trim, a Blaupunkt AM radio, a locking glovebox, Coco Mats, and Porsche crest lap belts. A pair of low-back bucket seats are included in the sale and can be seen in the gallery.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel was refinished in 2021 and fronts VDO instrumentation including a central 7k-rpm tachometer, a 120-mph speedometer, and meters for oil temperature and fuel level. The gauges were rebuilt by Palo Alto Speedometer in 2007, and the clock was fitted with a quartz movement at that time. The five-digit odometer shows under 99k miles and is said to have rolled over. The seller estimates having added 65k miles over 20 years of ownership, and total mileage is unknown.
The 1.6-liter flat-four features twin Solex 40-PII split-shaft carburetors. A PerTronix electronic ignition system was installed in 2006, and a cylinder head repair was performed in August 2017. An oil change was carried out in August 2022. The smog pump remains fitted, but is not connected.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle that received a fluid change in July 2022. The clutch and flywheel were replaced in 2006.
Engine case stamping *1281239* is shown above, and the serial number on the transaxle can be seen in the gallery below.
