The seller notes blemishes in the paint.
Cast-alloy 15×7″ 10-spoke wheels with polished outer lips are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires measuring 235/60 at all four corners. Braking is provided by discs up front and drums at the rear, and the brakes and steering are power assisted. The springs, shocks, steering linkage, control arms, power-steering hoses, brake calipers, master cylinder, booster, and associated hardware are said to have been replaced during the refurbishment.
The interior features bucket seats and a folding rear bench that have been redone in black vinyl upholstery. The seller states that the door panels, carpeting, and weatherstripping also has been replaced. Appointments include woodgrain trim, three-point front seatbelts, a center console, a Hurst shifter, Shelby-branded floor mats, and a Quadrasonic AM/FM/cassette stereo.
A two-spoke steering wheel on a tilting column sits ahead of a 140-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, a clock, and auxiliary gauges. Additional gauges are located in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 67k miles, approximately 350 of which have been added by the selling dealer. True mileage is unknown.
The engine bay was refinished in black before the replacement Ford FE big-block 428ci V8 was rebuilt and installed. Features include an aftermarket camshaft, a four-barrel Holley carburetor, a finned Cobra air cleaner, matching valve covers, and an export brace. A 2.5″ exhaust has been installed along with MagnaFlow mufflers, and the fuel tank and lines also have been replaced.
Power is delivered to the wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a 9″ rear axle with 3.50:1 gears. The transmission and the rear end are said to have been rebuilt. Additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery below.
