The turbocharged and intercooled 2.5-liter flat-four produced 310 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque when new. The RA-tuned EJ257 features a redesigned cold air intake, revised pistons, and sodium-filled exhaust valves. A larger exhaust system with less back pressure than the standard STi was fitted from the factory. An oil change was performed in February 2022.
Power is sent to all four wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle, a Driver Controlled Center Differential, and front and rear limited-slip differentials.
