The 997 Carrera 4S features wider rear bodywork, and a reflective strip between the taillights when compared to the standard Carrera, and this example is finished in Meteor Gray Metallic. Additional equipment includes integrated fog lights, a sunroof, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and quad exhaust outlets. A replacement sunroof motor was fitted in January 2021, and the seller notes a scratch on the left-front fender. An August 2015 entry of the Carfax report lists an accident resulting in damage to the left and left-front sections of the vehicle. Photos of the damage are presented in the gallery below.
The 19” Carrera S II wheels are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires measuring 235/35 up front and 305/30 at the rear. The car is equipped with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and Porsche Stability Management (PSM), and stopping power is provided by red Porsche-branded brake calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners.
The carbon-fiber-backed front sport bucket seats are upholstered in black leather and are complemented by a color-coordinated dash, door panels, and carpets. Porsche-branded floor mats line the footwells, and interior amenities include Porsche Communication Management (PCM), navigation, the Bose High End Sound Package, automatic climate control, and cruise control. Wear is visible on the driver’s door sill and seat.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a central tachometer and a 200-mph speedometer as well as gauges for oil temperature, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. An optional Sport Chrono Package Plus added a stopwatch atop the dashboard. The digital odometer indicates 49k miles, approximately 40k of which were added under current ownership.
The 3.8-liter flat-six features VarioCam Plus variable valve timing and was factory rated at 385 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was performed in January 2021.
Power is routed to all four wheels via a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transaxle. Additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery below.
The window sticker shows initial delivery to New County Porsche Greenwich in Connecticut, along with factory equipment, colors, options, and a total price of $113,035.
