The 1,915cc flat-four is said to feature a magnesium block and is equipped with dual Solex carburetors that were overhauled in April 2022. Additional work performed at that time included an oil change, installation of an oil cooler and fan, and replacement of the clutch disc and spark plugs. Service in October 2022 involved installation of aluminum valve covers as well as a carburetor adjustment.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Freeway Flyer four-speed manual transaxle and a 3.88:1 differential.
