The fiberglass bodywork left the factory finished in red (923A) and was repainted during the refurbishment in 1980 and again in 2000. Features include a split rear window, a driver-side mirror, fender and B-pillar scallops, chrome rocker panel trim and bumpers, flip-up headlights, and a dual exhaust system that exits through the rear valance.
The 15″ steel wheels wear spinner-style covers and are mounted with 205/75 Custom A/S whitewall tires. The car is equipped with front and rear independent suspension as well as four-wheel drum brakes. The seller reports that the car pulls to the left when braking.
The bucket seats are trimmed in black vinyl upholstery and are complemented by black door panels, center console, dashboard, and carpets. Equipment includes a Hurst T-handle shifter, manually operated windows, and vent windows. Damage on the dashboard and driver-seat material is covered with electrical tape, and the seller notes that the glovebox door is cracked.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 5,300-rpm redline, ancillary gauges, and a dash-mounted ignition switch. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 49k miles. The seller notes that the fuel, temperature, and voltmeter gauges are inoperable.
The 327ci L75 V8 was factory rated at 300 horsepower and breathes through a four-barrel carburetor and a dual exhaust system. Features include a dual horn air cleaner assembly and an orange engine block, intake manifold, and valve covers. The engine was rebuilt during the refurbishment in 1980 and the ignition coil was replaced in June 2022.
The engine code and serial number are shown above.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Borg-Warner T-10 four-speed manual transmission. Work performed in June 2022 is said to have included pressure washing the underside and replacing the shifter linkage bushings.
