Competition Package equipment includes a lowered ride height compared to the standard M3 as well as retuned Electronic Damping Control (EDC) and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC). Braking is handled by four-wheel vented and cross-drilled discs measuring 14.2″ and 13.8″ front and rear, respectively. A brake fluid flush was performed in May 2022.
The heated power-adjustable sport seats are upholstered in black leather with Palladium Silver inserts, and Carbon Structure Leather trim accents the dashboard and doors. Amenities include iDrive with navigation as well as Comfort Access keyless entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, and a CD stereo hooked to an optional Enhanced Premium Sound system. The leather-wrapped steering wheel features tri-color stitching and paddle shifters and frames an M-branded tachometer, a 200-mph speedometer, a central information display, and gauges for oil temperature and fuel level. The 4.0-liter S65 V8 features double-VANOS variable valve timing and was factory rated at 414 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The oil was changed and the battery was replaced in May 2022.
