The S209 was offered in two colors, and this example is finished in Crystal White Pearl. Exterior equipment includes a carbon-fiber roof and rear wing along with a functional hood scoop, front canards, adaptive LED headlights, fender flares, S209 badging, and quad exhaust outlets.
Forged 19″ BBS wheels feature a satin-gold finish and are mounted with 265/35 Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Braking is handled by silver-finished Brembo calipers paired with cross-drilled rotors at all four corners. S209-specific suspension upgrades include a front strut tower brace, Bilstein dampers, front and rear draw stiffeners, and pillow-ball suspension bushings.
The cabin features black leather upholstery with silver accents and Alcantara inserts, along with a black dashboard, door panels, and carpets. The heated Recaro front seats feature STi embroidery on the backrests and S209-debossed headrests. Additional amenities include cruise control, automatic climate control, a touchscreen infotainment system, red seatbelts, and repurposed shift paddles that operate the intercooler water sprayer.
The Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel frames a tachometer, a 180-mph speedometer, a digital display, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 3,400 miles, all of which were added under current ownership.
The turbocharged and intercooled 2.5-liter flat-four was revised for the S209 with a larger HKS turbocharger, a retuned engine control unit, an upgraded fuel pump, injectors, and an intercooler water sprayer with a trunk-mounted water reservoir as well as sodium-filled exhaust valves with upgraded springs. Output was factory-rated at 341 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque. An annual service is said to have been performed in June 2022.
The S209 plaque mounted atop the intake manifold matches one on the center console, which identifies this STi as #129 in the series of 209.
Power is sent to all four wheels via a six-speed manual transaxle with limited-slip front and rear differentials along with a multi-mode Driver Control Center Differential (DCCD).
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history with a single owner in California. A July 2022 entry displays an open manufacturer safety recall for the backup lamp switch.
