The wood-trimmed three-spoke steering wheel frames a body-color dashboard housing a 130-mph speedometer that was rebuilt by Hollywood Speedometer along with a tachometer and a combination gauge. The odometer shows 45k miles, approximately 5k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The CB Performance 2,110cc flat-four is said to have been overhauled in 2013 and breathes through twin 44mm Weber carburetors. Additional equipment includes a CB Performance Snake Bite serpentine belt system, a Compu-Fire ignition module kit, a Bosch alternator, a fender-mounted oil cooler, an electric fuel pump, and an A-1 exhaust system with a Sebring-style finisher. Service in June 2022 reportedly included adjusting the valves, replacing the spark plugs, and performing an oil change.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a rebuilt four-speed manual transaxle with a 3.44:1 gear ratio. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the image gallery.
An SB100 sticker, which provides emissions testing exemption status for the life of the vehicle, is affixed and describes the vehicle as a “1959 SPNCS Replica PO” and shows an assigned VIN of CA975263. The California-issued VIN plate affixed to the car can be viewed in the gallery.
