The truck left the factory finished in Copper Metallic and was refinished in the current shade of metallic gray following the replacement of the body tub by Wilburn’s Custom Bronco in Jamestown, Indiana, under current ownership. Details include a black bikini top, chrome bumpers and trim, dual side mirrors, a roll cage, dual exhaust outlets, AMP Research power-operated side steps, and 351 and Bronco Sport badging.
Polished 17″ Pro Comp wheels are mounted with 35×12.5″ Kenda Klever R/T tires. The truck is equipped with manually locking front hubs and the suspension was fitted with a 3″ James Duff suspension lift, a 2″ body lift, and dual shocks at all four corners. A steering stabilizer is installed, and stopping power is handled by front discs and rear drums.
The interior was refreshed with a pair of high-back bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl along with color-coordinated floor coverings and door panels. Wood veneer trim accents the doors, and equipment includes a locking center console, three-point front seat belts, rear lap belts, grab handles, floor mats, and a heater.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a combination gauge that includes a 100-mph speedometer and readouts for alternator charge, fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 68k miles, approximately 70 of which have been added under current ownership. True mileage is unknown.
The replacement 351ci Windsor V8 was installed under current ownership and features an aftermarket camshaft, roller rockers, an aluminum intake manifold and cylinder heads, Flowmaster mufflers, and a 650-cfm Holley carburetor.
Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a rebuilt AOD four-speed automatic transmission, a Dana 20 twin-stick transfer case, a Dana 44 front differential and a 9″ rear differential with mechanical lockers.
