The car is finished in Titanium Silver Metallic with black accents. Features include a glass sunroof, a decklid spoiler, Park Distance Control, fog lights, rain-sensing wipers, quad exhaust outlets, and xenon headlights with washers and LED bulbs in the halos. The Carfax report lists damage occurring to the front and right-front in March 2020. The front bumper cover was reportedly replaced and refinished under previous ownership, and photos show a ding in the right-rear wheel arch as well as shade variation on the rear Park Distance Control sensors.
Chrome Shadow 18″ Style 65 wheels are mounted with 245/40 front and 275/35 rear Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. The car features Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) with All Season Traction as well as more aggressive shock valving and thicker front and rear anti-roll bars compared to the standard E39. Braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs measuring 13.6″ up front and 12.9″ out back. The seller notes curb marks on the wheels.
The cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in black leather that extends to the center console and door panel armrests. Brushed aluminum trim accents the center console as well as the upper dashboard and door panels, and amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, a power rear sunshade, a trunk-mounted six-disc CD changer, and M5-branded floor mats and door sills. The DVD navigation system and power-adjustable heated seats were reportedly repaired under previous ownership, and the seller notes blemishes on the trim panel surrounding the shifter.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel is mounted to a power-adjustable steering column, and it fronts an M-branded 185-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a variable redline, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer indicates 49k miles, approximately 1,500 of which were added under current ownership.
The 4.9-liter S62 V8 is equipped with individual throttle bodies and double-VANOS continuously variable valve timing. Factory-rated output was 394 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. The car last passed a California emissions test in February 2021, and the seller states that the battery was replaced in June 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Getrag six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
Manufacturer’s literature and two keys with integrated fobs are included in the sale.
