Chrome-finished 17″ BBS wheels are wrapped in 255/45 Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. The Esperante featured an independent rear axle and braking components sourced from the contemporary Mustang Cobra. The car is also equipped with four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, and coilover suspension with adjustable Penske dampers.
The bolstered bucket seats are upholstered in tan leather, while metal trim accents the center stack, console, dashboard, and door panels. Amenities include cruise control, air conditioning, custom floor mats, and a CD stereo.
Instrumentation sourced from a Mustang Cobra is positioned to the right of the MOMO steering wheel and includes a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer indicates 3,900 miles.
The hand-assembled 4.6-liter DOHC V8 features 32 valves and all-aluminum construction, and it was rated at 320 horsepower and 315 lb-ft of torque when new. The engine oil was changed in 2021.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Additional underside images can be viewed in the gallery.
An owner’s manual is included in the sale along with a tool kit.
