The car was finished from the factory in Argyle Blue and was repainted red during prior ownership. Styling updates for the 1958 model year included quad headlamps and smaller chrome-trimmed fins accompanied by a wide grille with “Dagmar” bumper guards. Further features include a white soft top, vertical chrome slashes ahead of the open rear wheel housings, and crest medallions on the flanks of the tail fins. The selling dealer notes that some of the chrome is aged and bubbles are evident in the paint. Close-up images of other blemishes are displayed in the gallery.
Factory 15” Sabre-Spoke wheels are mounted with Remington Cushion-Aire whitewall tires, and a full-size spare is stored in the trunk. Front disc brakes were installed by the selling dealer in preparation for the sale, and the brakes were also reportedly serviced by the selling dealer.
The cabin houses two rows of bench seats trimmed in white and red vinyl upholstery along with matching door panels. An Autronic Eye headlight dimming system is mounted atop the dashboard, and additional amenities include a power-adjustable front bench seat, electric windows, a push-button radio, air conditioning, and rubber floor mats.
A two-tone steering wheel fronts an analog clock and instrumentation consisting of a horizontal-sweep 120-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 1,700 miles, though total mileage is unknown.
The 365ci V8 was equipped with a trio of carburetors and rated at 335 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque when new. A fluid service is said to have been performed during current ownership. The selling dealer notes an oil leak.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. Corrosion is evident on various underside components, additional images of which are presented in the gallery.
