Aftermarket 18″ five-spoke wheels are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R front and RE050A rear tires. The Cobra R was equipped with an independent rear suspension, and this example has been fitted with Maximum Motorsports front K-member and tubular front control arms. The four-wheel disc brakes feature Brembo front calipers and drilled rotors all around.
The cabin has been fitted with a roll cage, fire suppression system, and Crow Enterprizes racing harnesses. To save weight, the Cobra R was not factory equipped with air conditioning, cruise control, a stereo, a rear seat, or sound-deadening materials.
Instrumentation includes a 180-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,600-rpm redline, and AutoMeter gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and boost pressure. The digital odometer indicates 26k miles, approximately 25k of which were added by the seller.
The 5.4-liter DOHC V8 has been fitted with a Garrett turbocharger, and the seller reports that the engine was rebuilt in January 2023. The battery has been relocated to the trunk.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. A differential fluid cooler has been added, and the custom-fabricated exhaust system features a Magnaflow muffler and exits ahead of the rear wheels.
The SVT Certificate of Authenticity lists the assembly date and notes that this car is #118 of 300 examples produced for the model year. Manufacturer’s literature and a car cover are included in the sale.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage reported and lists history in Michigan, Colorado, and Arizona.
