The L5 Coupe-Express was a light-duty pickup that was introduced for 1937 and utilized the Studebaker Dictator passenger car frame and powertrain. It received annual styling updates until it was discontinued after the 1939 model year. This example was refinished in its current red during the 2004 refurbishment and features front sheet metal shared with the contemporary Commander passenger car as well as chrome bumpers with red-painted accents, running boards, a driver-side mirror, and dual taillights.
