For 1954, the Skylark shared its chassis with the Century rather than the Roadmaster, resulting in a shorter wheelbase than the 1953 model. This example is #76 of 836 produced and under previous ownership, the body was stripped and removed from the frame before being refinished in red. A power-operated tan soft top was added, and additional equipment includes chrome bumpers and trim, a wrap-around front windshield, side spear trim, tailfins, and dual exhaust outlets.

Chrome Kelsey-Hayes 15″ bolt-on wire wheels are equipped with two-bladed spinners and wear Coker wide-whitewall tires. The suspension was overhauled during the refurbishment, and braking is provided by front discs and rear drums.
The cabin has been reupholstered and features tan leather on the aftermarket power-adjustable front bucket seats, rear seats, door panels, center arm rest, and trim. A custom center console houses a Pioneer head unit and controls for the Vintage Air climate control system. Additional equipment includes red square weave carpeting, power windows, and a two-spoke steering wheel on a tilt steering column.
Aftermarket Auto Meter instruments include a 120-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 3,200 miles, approximately 1,200 of which were added during current ownership. The total chassis mileage is unknown.
The 5.7-liter LS1 V8 was installed under previous ownership and fitted with custom covers and a cone air intake filter. The seller notes an oil change was recently carried out.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed 4L60E automatic transmission. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the image gallery.
