The 292ci Y-block V8 features finned valve covers and a PerTronix electronic ignition and was factory rated at 198 horsepower and 286 lb-ft of torque. A 12-volt electrical system has been installed including an alternator, battery, voltage regulator, wiper motor, and ignition coil. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a three-speed Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission.
