Originally finished in white, the body was repainted in black during Morris’ build before undergoing another color change to silver later in the project. Additional custom touches include a faired-in side mirror, brake cooling intakes formed from the horn grille openings, and deletion of the bumpers, brightwork, badges, and door handles. The door handle pockets were reportedly shrunken and hammered flat. X-shaped braces were added across each door frame. Partial serial numbers are shown stamped on the engine lid, front hood hinge, and door panels in the photo gallery below. A black soft top is included in the sale, along with matching side curtains and a fabric tonneau cover.
Silver 15×5.5” wheels are mounted with older Dunlop Racing tires said to be unsuitable for highway driving due to their age. A matching spare wrapped in Pirelli Cinturato rubber is secured in the front compartment. Mechanical work during Morris’ project was reportedly handled by Porsche specialist Dick Hyland and included the addition of 356C disc brakes all around. Suspension modifications include alteration of the rear shock mounts to accommodate longer, vertically positioned Koni shock absorbers.
The cockpit houses custom aluminum reproduction seat shells trimmed in black vinyl along with matching door panels and charcoal square-weave carpeting. One of the seats was bare upon the previous owner’s purchase and was upholstered by Paterek Brothers in Chatham, New Jersey, in 2021. Custom touches added by Morris include black vinyl wrapped over the dash and diamond-tread rubber floor mats in the footwells. Latch-and-link lap belts are in place for both occupants.
