Silver-finished 15” steel Lemmerz wheels stamped with January 1956 date codes wear chrome hubcaps and are mounted with 165-series Firestone F-560 tires. A mismatched Lemmerz spare is included in the sale. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drum brakes which were last adjusted in May 2023.
The cabin features low-back front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black vinyl that extends to the dash pad, door panels, and rear parcel shelf, Additional appointments include a wood shift knob, front lap seatbelts, and an aftermarket CD head unit mounted in the glove box. The horn is said to function intermittently.
The white two-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of green-letter VDO instrumentation that includes a 6k-rpm tachometer, a 120-mph speedometer, and an inoperable fuel gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 60k miles, approximately 1,500 of which were added by the current owner. Total mileage is unknown.
The 1.6-liter flat-four is equipped with twin Solex carburetors and Knecht mesh air cleaners. Service performed in September 2022 consisted of adjusting the carburetors along with replacing the fuel tank, sending unit, fuel hoses, and petcock. The battery was replaced in anticipation of the sale. Oil leaks are noted.
