The suspension was refreshed with replacement front wheel cylinders, tie rod ends, and upper and lower ball joints during current ownership. The seller notes the brake master cylinder was rebuilt in preparation for the sale.
The cabin houses bucket seats that have been reupholstered in black vinyl with red piping. Black rubber mats line the red carpets, and features include a dash-mounted rear-view mirror as well as latch-and-link belts for both occupants.
A two-spoke steering wheel with a chrome horn ring sits ahead of a body-color metal dashboard housing a suite of Veglia instrumentation that includes a 140-mph speedometer, a combination gauge, and an 8k-rpm tachometer that was rebuilt by North Hollywood Speedometer in 2015. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 66k miles, around 500 of which have been added during current ownership. The speedometer cable has been replaced.
The 1.3L twin-cam inline-four was rebuilt in 2016 by Savannah Race Engineering of Savannah, Georgia and was refreshed in 2018 following a blown head gasket. Dual Weber 40 DCO3 carburetors were also installed at that time and were reportedly serviced in preparation for the sale. A dyno graph from 2016 is viewable in the gallery.
The four-speed manual transmission was rebuilt by Grant’s Wooden Boat Works of Hartwell, Georgia in 2018. Records in the gallery indicate replacement floors were installed during current ownership.
