Additional equipment includes rear tail fins, hooded headlights, a dual exhaust system with chrome exits, and a chrome grille, bumpers, window surrounds, and side moldings. The power-retractable top was serviced in preparation for the sale with work including replacing and rebuilding various motors and actuators. Side mirrors are not installed. Steel 14″ wheels wear turbine-style covers reportedly sourced from a 1957 Thunderbird and are mounted with 8″ section whitewall tires. Braking is handled by unassisted four-wheel drums.
The cabin features front and rear bench seats upholstered in white vinyl with red patterned cloth inserts along with a color-coordinated dashboard, carpets, and door panels. Additional equipment includes a heater, manually operated windows, a locking glovebox, vent windows, an analog clock, lap belts for all occupants, and a push-button AM radio.
The three-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and fronts a 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges showing fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows under 99k miles, approximately 250 of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The seller states that the speedometer was rebuilt in preparation for the sale.
The replacement 312ci V8 is equipped with a single carburetor along with an orange-painted block and valve covers. The seller notes a replacement fan, pulley,and valve covers were installed at some time.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a two-speed Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission and a 3.56:1 standard differential.
