There is a paint crack on the front of the left cove and bubbles on the hood and along the lower edge of the rear fascia. The convertible top canvas has shrunk and fits poorly and the chrome plating is dull on the rear bumper and trunk trim.
Black 15″ steel wheels wear spinner-style covers and are mounted with Firestone wide whitewall tires. Braking is handled by unassisted heavy-duty drums at all four corners. The seller notes that front fresh air ducts and brake cooling scoops are installed. The master cylinder, wheel cylinders, and brake shoes are said to have been replaced during current ownership.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in blue vinyl with channeled inserts joined by a color-coordinated dashboard and door panels. Equipment includes a heater and defroster, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, an analog clock, polished sill plates, and an aftermarket AM radio. The driver’s seat has a tear and the dashboard is pulled away from the windshield frame.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames nonfunctional instrumentation including a sweeping 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer as well as gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, battery charge, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 42k miles, a handful of which were added during current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 283ci V8 is said to have been sourced from a 1960 Corvette and features a four-barrel carburetor, a polished air cleaner lid, and Corvette-script valve covers. The carburetor was reportedly adjusted during current ownership. The seller notes a rough idle during cold starts.
