This Scarab Mk I re-creation was constructed in 2014 by Kansas-based Scarab Motorsports with hand-made aluminum bodywork replicating the first of Reventlow Automobiles’ three late-1950s sports racers. Built over a chrome-moly steel tube frame, the car is powered by a 383ci Chevrolet small-block V8 that features Hilborn electronic fuel injection, custom canted velocity stacks, a front-drive distributor, and an electric water pump.
