Approximately 1,801 Twin Cam roadsters were reportedly produced over a two-year production run. This example was originally ordered in Iris Blue, and the body was refinished in the current dark blue in 2008. Features include a black soft top, a matching tonneau cover, “Twin Cam” badging on the trunk lid and outside of the hood, and a chrome-finished front grille, trim, and bumpers with overriders.
Painted 15″ steel wheels were widened by Stockton Wheel Service according to the seller, and they are held in place with two-eared knock-offs. Vredestein Sprint Classic tires are mounted, and braking is handled by four-wheel discs.
The interior features Competition De-luxe seats trimmed in black with a matching dash pad, door panels, and black carpeting. Other features include a heater, lap belts, and a wooden shift knob.
A three-spoke steering wheel fronts a vinyl-upholstered dashboard that houses Jaeger instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit mechanical odometer indicates 8k miles and has reportedly rolled over. Total mileage is unknown.
The 1.6-liter inline-four features dual overhead camshafts and was factory rated at 108 horsepower and 104 lb-ft of torque. The engine was rebuilt during the refurbishment, and records are displayed in the photo gallery below. An oil change was performed and the spark plugs were replaced in 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Stainless panels have been added beneath the floors. Additional images showing the condition of the underside are presented in the gallery below.
The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate details equipment, colors, and production information as well as a build date in June 1959. Service records dating back to the 1970s are included in the sale, along with awards and documentation of the refurbishment work.
