The body was mounted to a rotisserie during the late 2010s refurbishment. Rust repairs and body work were performed by Stone’s Metal Shop of Gardena, California, and a repaint in red was completed at Showtime. A custom-fabricated mesh front grille was installed, and the overriders were removed from the bumpers. The windshield, right door glass, and weatherstripping were replaced, while the convertible top frame was refurbished. Various trim items were re-chromed, and the head and taillight assemblies were replaced. The rear window of the black convertible soft top shows wear, a stone chip is visible on the front headlight lens, and a chip in the paint is noted on the front nose panel.
Silver 15″ alloy wheels wear polished Alfa Romeo-branded hubcaps and are mounted with 165-width Pirelli CN 36 tires, while a non-matching spare wheel and tire are housed in the rear storage compartment. The car is equipped with a front sway bar, custom-fabricated adjustable upper control arms, Centerline springs, Koni adjustable shocks, four-wheel Ate disc brakes, a replacement brake master cylinder, and stainless steel brake lines. The seller states that quick-ratio steering arms have also been fitted.
The interior has been reupholstered and features black vinyl seats and door panels as well as a mouse hair dash pad and red carpets. An IPRA heater box, Nardi steering wheel, Alfa-branded floor mats, and Pininfarina-badged radio blanking plate are installed, and the control knobs are said to have been replaced.
The Veglia instruments have been rebuilt and consist of a central tachometer, a 120-mph speedometer, and a combination gauge. The bezels have been re-chromed, and the five-digit odometer shows 703 miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The 2.0-liter inline-four is said to have been rebuilt before being installed and it is equipped with twin Weber carburetors, an aluminum radiator, a 123 Ignition Bluetooth Distributor, GTA-style headers, and a remote oil filter. Additional equipment reportedly includes high-compression pistons, high-lift camshafts, a Veloce oil sump, a replacement wiring harness and fusebox, a Powerlite alternator, and a Bosch high-torque starter. The overhauled fuel system features a Facet electronic fuel pump, an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator, a stainless-steel fuel tank, and stainless fuel lines.
The car has been fitted with a five-speed manual transmission, and the limited-slip differential is equipped with 4.56:1 gearing and was reportedly sourced from a 115 series model. The seller states that additional work during the refurbishment included installing a lightened flywheel and replacing the clutch assembly, driveshaft, center support, center support bearing, and front flex coupling. A replacement Imasaf exhaust system with a polished tip is installed.
Photos and invoices documenting the refurbishment work are included in the sale.
