The body was reportedly disassembled and refinished in ivory during current ownership, and features include chrome bumpers with overriders, headlight covers, a left-side mirror, running boards, and dual “pea shooter” exhaust outlets. Additional work included fitment of a stainless steel roof rack as well as replacing the front trunk hinges, door glass, vent windows, and rear quarter windows.
Empi 15″ wheels are mounted with 185/65 Doral SDL 65A tires, and a full-size spare mounted with a Nexen tire is located in the front trunk. The ride height has been lowered, the struts were replaced, and the brake system was overhauled during current ownership with a replacement master cylinder, parking brake cables, hydraulic lines, and wheel cylinders.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in red vinyl with white piping as well as to charcoal carpeting and two-tone door panels with storage pockets. Additional equipment consists of a painted dashboard with chrome accents, a wicker storage shelf, a pop-out windshield, a battery cutoff switch, and a glove compartment. Dynamat insulation material has been applied to the floors, and the door handles have been replaced.
The white two-spoke steering wheel with a chrome horn ring frames a 90-mph speedometer with an inset five-digit odometer showing under 78k miles, approximately 200 of which were added by the seller. Additional instrumentation consisting of a tachometer and gauges for battery voltage, fuel level, oil pressure, and oil temperature have been added during current ownership, and the ignition and headlight switches have been replaced.
The replacement dual-port 1,915cc flat-four was installed during the refurbishment and is reportedly equipped with a 69mm crankshaft, 94mm pistons, and chromoly pushrods as well as replacement rocker arms, valve springs, and Porsche-style valve adjusters. Dual Weber 40mm carburetors are installed, and additional components replaced during current ownership include the oil pump, alternator, serpentine belt, starter, oil filter, and oil cooler.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle that was reportedly rebuilt during current ownership. The clutch components have been replaced, and a Vintage Speed stainless steel exhaust system has been installed.
