Silver-painted 15″ steel wheels are wrapped in 185/70 Michelin XWX tires. Braking is handled by four wheel discs. Work performed in 2017 included installing Koni shocks, replacing the steering damper, and mounting the tires.
The cabin features replacement front bucket seats upholstered in red leatherette and equipped with red lap belts. Red and black Coco mats line the carpets, and photos of the floors with the carpeting removed are viewable in the gallery. The stereo and heater are non-functional.
A three-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a 200-km/h speedometer and auxiliary fuel level and oil temperature gauges. The tachometer is reported to intermittently function. The five-digit odometer has rolled over during current ownership and now shows 411 kilometers (~255 miles). Approximately 5k kilometers have been added by the seller, and true mileage is unknown.
The replacement 1.6-liter flat-four was sourced from a 1964 356SC and was rebuilt in 2017. Dual Weber IDF carburetors with 4″ velocity stacks have been added, along with an aftermarket center-exit GT-style exhaust system. A tune-up is said to have been performed and a replacement battery was installed in December 2021.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transaxle. Additional underside images are available in the gallery below, along with photos taken during the engine rebuild process.
