The convertible top rear window will not zip close, and there is no windshield washer fluid reservoir or pump.
Steel 14” wheels wear wire-style covers and are mounted with 195/75 Firestone FR380 whitewall tires. A front disc brake conversion was performed in November 2014 and service performed in May 2022 included rebuilding the rear wheel cylinders and replacing the rear brake lines, power-steering hoses, and front and rear suspension components.
The cabin houses front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in white vinyl upholstery, and appointments include a center console, front lap belts, crank windows, Mustang-branded rubber floor mats, and a push-button AM radio. The air conditioning system does not work, and the dash lights were replaced in May 2022.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer, a Rally-Pac tachometer and clock mounted on the steering column, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer has rolled over and now shows 80k miles, and total mileage is unknown. LED dashboard lighting has been installed, and the Rally-Pac clock is inoperable.
The 289ci V8 is said to have been overhauled in 2005 and is fitted with a gold-finished air cleaner housing and valve covers as well as an aftermarket radiator with a larger cooling capacity. The motor mounts were replaced in May 2022. Corrosion is noted on the exhaust manifold.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a C4 three-speed automatic transmission that was rebuilt in 2013 and received a fluid flush in May 2022, at which time the transmission pan gasket was also replaced. Rust is noted on the fuel tank, and additional underside photos are provided in the gallery.
