Chrome-finished 15” wire wheels are secured with two-eared spinners and are mounted with Vredestein Sprint Classic tires. A matching spare is stored in the trunk along with a jack and a knockoff mallet. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear units. Braided stainless-steel flex hoses have been fitted, and the primary brake cylinder and vacuum booster were rebuilt in March 2022.
The cabin has been reupholstered in maroon vinyl and features a wood center instrument panel and shift knob. Additional equipment includes a Blaupunkt AM/FM stereo, lap belts, and black carpets with maroon binding. The heater core is said to have been rebuilt and the control valve replaced in 2022. The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer as well as a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline and inset clock. Auxiliary gauges are mounted in the center of the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 63k miles, approximately 200 of which have been added under current ownership.
The 4.2-liter DOHC inline-six features triple SU carburetors and was factory rated at 265 horsepower and 283 lb-ft of torque. The cylinder head and engine block were rebuilt during the refurbishment, the fuel tank was relined in 2005, and the carburetors were rebuilt in 2020. Work performed in 2022 included the installation of a replacement fuel pump, thermostat, header tank, and coolant hoses. Photos of compression test results are presented in the gallery.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The clutch was replaced in 1990, and work performed in 2022 included replacing the clutch secondary cylinder, flex line, and primary cylinder reservoir. The car features stainless-steel headers, and the exhaust hangers are said to have been replaced in 2022. The seller notes leaks at the speedometer cable as well as the differential axle shaft seals and recommends replacing the rear wheel bearings.
