Features include a black rubber floor liner, sliding door windows, a fire extinguisher, a clock, and an AM/FM cassette radio. Discoloration is visible on the trim panels and headliner, and the bulkhead that mounts behind the front seats is missing. The removed front seats are included with the sale and are pictured in the gallery.
The two-spoke steering wheel wears a gold Wolfsburg-crest horn button and sits ahead of VDO instrumentation including an 80-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level and cylinder head temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 74k miles and is said to have rolled over. Approximately 153k miles were added under current ownership, and total mileage is unknown.
The rear compartment is outfitted with a removable bedframe, a rubber floor liner, and carpeted mats covering the cargo area. Luggage bars are installed on the hatch window and on the rear-most side windows. Corrosion is present on the floor, and the rear bench seats are missing.
The replacement 1.6L air-cooled flat-four was installed in April 2021. The exhaust system was replaced and the heater box was refurbished at that time.
