The car was finished from the factory in Candyapple Red (T) and was disassembled and stripped to bare metal before it was repainted in 2008. The seller states that the brightwork was refreshed and the windshield was replaced during the refurbishment, and exterior details include dual hood vents, vent windows, quarter-window louvers, and faux quarter panel vents.
Billet Specialties 18″ chrome wheels are mounted with 245/40 front and 255/45 rear Toyo Proxes T1R tires showing 2008 date codes. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted front disc brakes and rear drums, and the car is equipped with power steering and aftermarket sway-bar end links.
The front bucket seats and Sport Deck rear seat have been retrimmed in black vinyl, and the seat foam is said to have been replaced during the refurbishment. Sound deadening material has been applied under the black carpeting, and appointments include a center console, a push-button AM radio, lap belts for the front occupants, and carpeted floor mats with Mustang tri-bar embroidery. Exposed wiring is visible under the passenger side of the dash.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel sits ahead of a 120-mph speedometer, a combination gauge for oil pressure and alternator charging status, and readouts for fuel level and engine temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 74k miles, less than 500 of which are said to have been added by the seller over the past 14 years. Total mileage is unknown.
The 289ci V8 is finished in blue and was rebuilt during the refurbishment. An aftermarket camshaft has reportedly been installed along with a dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. The oil was changed in 2022.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a three-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential with 3.25:1 gearing.
The Deluxe Marti report lists the color scheme, factory equipment, build statistics, and a production completion date of July 6th, 1967. The original sale agreement from Robinson and Lyon Ford of Renton, Washington, will accompany the car.
Photos and records detailing the refurbishment are provided toward the end of the gallery below.
