Finished from the factory in Caspian Blue (K), the bodywork is said to have been repainted during current ownership. Exterior features include a fiberglass hood with pins and scoops, a remote-operated driver-side mirror, and chrome bumpers and trim.
Cragar 15″ front wheels are wrapped with Firestone tires, while silver-painted steel wheels wear drag slicks out back. Braking is through front discs and rear drums. The removed steel wheels and four hubcaps accompany the vehicle and can be seen in the gallery below.
The cabin houses two rows of bench seats trimmed in blue vinyl and fabric upholstery. Blue loop carpets line the floors, and amenities include front lap belts, a Mercury-branded push-button AM radio, a Hurst shifter, and opening front 3/4 vent windows. The seller notes the removed shifter is included in the sale.
The two-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a 120-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. A trio of Stewart Warner displays under the dash monitor voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 9k miles, around 100 of which have been added during current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 427ci Side-Oiler V8 was installed during prior ownership and is equipped with dual Holley carburetors fed through an oval air cleaner, along with chrome valve covers and an aftermarket oil pan and exhaust manifolds. An oil change was performed in the summer of 2021.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Toploader four-speed manual transmission and a 9″ rear end with a Detroit Locker with 4.56:1 gearing. The dual exhaust system terminates behind the front wheels, and the car is not equipped with mufflers. The removed exhaust manifolds, pipes, and oil pan accompany the vehicle. Additional underbody images are provided in the gallery below.
