Fuchs 15″ alloy wheels feature Porsche-crest center caps and are mounted with 205/60 Michelin Pilot tires that show date codes from 2006. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes. The ball joints and tie rods were replaced in May 2018, and additional work performed at that time included replacing the brake master cylinder, front calipers, brake pads, and brake flex lines. A set of 15″ steel wheels with hubcaps is included in the sale and pictured in the gallery.
The interior features front bucket seats and fold-down rear seats that were reportedly reupholstered in red vinyl during the late 1980s. The headliner is said to have been replaced at that time, and appointments include manual-crank windows, a locking glove box, an AM/FM stereo, and Coco Mats floor mats. The driver-side door strap and both door striker plates were replaced in May 2018, at which time the driver’s seat reclining mechanism was repaired. The seller notes a hole in the dashboard speaker cover, and the driver’s door handle is loose.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts VDO instrumentation consisting of a central tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level and oil temperature. The analog clock and horn do not work. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 6k miles, and approximately 120k miles were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 2.0-liter flat-six features dual Weber carburetors that were overhauled in June 2022. Additional work performed at that time involved adjusting the valves, changing the oil, rebuilding the left timing chain tensioner, and replacing the accelerator bushing, crankshaft seal, oil sump plate, battery, valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, oil return pipes, camshaft oil lines, and timing chain ramps.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. Rust repairs were performed in the front trunk compartment in May 2018, and undercoating was applied at that time. Corrosion is present on the underside, and additional photos can be viewed in the gallery below.
