The R-code 428ci Super Cobra Jet V8 is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 335 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a three-speed C6 automatic transmission with a 3.91:1 Traction-Lok Rear Axle. The engine and transmission were rebuilt during the refurbishment.
