Equipment includes woodgrain trim, a Sport Deck rear seat, a Philco push-button radio, a Hurst shifter, red all-weather floor mats, and deluxe seat belts with a dashboard warning light. The heater core is a replacement.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel features a Shelby horn button and sits ahead of a 140-mph speedometer with an inset trip odometer, an 8k-tachometer, and read-outs for engine temperature and fuel level. Gauges for oil pressure and amperage are mounted ahead of the shifter, and an analog clock is mounted in front of the passenger.
The 428ci Cobra Jet V8 was rebuilt in March 1990 and is said to have been bored 0.030” over and has a crankshaft that is cut 0.010″. The engine is equipped with a Holley Street Dominator intake manifold, finned valve covers, and a PerTronix electronic ignition. The seller notes the fender aprons were replaced and the shock towers were repaired while the engine was out of the car. An oil leak is present at the rear main seal, and the valve cover gaskets were replaced in July 2021. Fluids were also renewed approximately 450 miles ago.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a Traction-Lok rear axle with 3.50:1 gearing. According to the seller, both torque boxes, front floor pans, and frame rail extensions were also replaced.
