Description

BBS 15″ basketweave-style wheels are mounted with 195/55 Falken Ziex ZE912 tires with 2016 date codes. Stopping power is provided by a Wilwood front disc brake kit from Ireland Engineering reportedly composed of BMW E21 vented rotors and front hubs along with braided brake hoses and a replacement master cylinder, coupled with factory rear drums. The lowered suspension is said to have been fitted with H&R springs, Bilstein shocks, and urethane rear shock mounts as well as front suspension and subframe bushings.
The cabin is equipped with Sparco Evo 2 fixed bucket seats trimmed in black cloth with red Crow four-point harnesses. A fabricated roll bar is fitted along with replacement carpets, a heater, an analog clock, a Sparco shift knob and aluminum pedals, a Kidde dry-chemical fire extinguisher, a 12V power outlet, and a BMW cassette stereo. The rear seat has been removed and cracks are visible on the top of the dash pad.
A wood-rimmed Sparco steering wheel frames European-specification VDO instruments consisting of a 180-km/h speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. Sunpro gauges with red-finished bezels displaying voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer indicates 51k kilometers (~32k miles) and is inoperable. True mileage is unknown.
The Optima Red Top battery was relocated to the trunk. A rear strut-tower brace is fitted along with replacement trunk carpet.
The 2.3-liter S14 inline-four and Motronic ECU were reportedly sourced from an E30 M3 and were installed under previous ownership. Urethane motor mounts and alternator bushings are fitted along with an electric cooling fan, a strut-tower brace, and a fabricated radiator, stainless-steel headers, and exhaust. The results of a compression test are provided in the gallery and the oil was changed in preparation for the sale.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Getrag 245/10 five-speed manual transmission with a dogleg first gear. Modifications are said to include a factory short-shift kit, an E30 M3-specification 8-lb flywheel, and a Sachs racing pressure plate and clutch disc. The fuel tank was replaced and additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery.
