American Racing VN501 15″ wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires measuring 215/60 up front and 255/60 out back. Work under current ownership consisted of installing a Wilwood master cylinder and four-wheel disc brakes, a tubular front K-member, double-adjustable front coilovers, Viking Performance rear shock absorbers, Hotchkis upper control arms, and a Magnum Force four-link rear suspension and subframe connectors. A front brake-line lock has been fitted, and the car has unassisted steering.
The cockpit features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in white vinyl complemented by a color-coordinated headliner, sun visors, and door panels. Equipment includes a center console, a pistol-grip-style shifter, a FiTech EFI controller, a Kenwood amplifier, orange powder coated seat frames, ’Cuda-branded floor mats, lap belts, and aftermarket rear speakers. A carbon-fiber-style white vinyl overlay has been applied to the center console and there are switches below the center armrest for the brake line lock and electronic muffler bypass valves. There is a hole in the left-front seat cover, the top of the left door’s trim panel is cracked, the cruise control does not work, and the Bluetooth audio receiver is disconnected. The single-piece headliner, carpeting, seat padding, sun visors, and floor mats are said to have been replaced, and sound insulation was reportedly installed under current ownership.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames an AutoMeter tachometer and auxiliary gauges. The speedometer does not work. Three AutoMeter auxiliary gauges are located in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 10k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 472ci Hemi V8 crate engine is said to have been installed under prior ownership, and the FiTech dual-throttle-body fuel-injection system was fitted in 2016. Equipment includes a ceramic-coated Edelbrock intake manifold, a serpentine drive system, March Performance accessory brackets, ceramic-coated exhaust headers, chrome valve covers, and an MSD electronic ignition, distributor, and spark-plug wires. A return-style fuel-injection gas tank and fuel pumps have been installed along with a Champion aluminum radiator with dual electric cooling fans. An oil change was performed most recently in 2022. The chassis number indicates that the vehicle was originally manufactured with a 225ci slant-six engine under the hood.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission and an 8¾ rear axle with a Richmond ring gear. A stainless-steel dual exhaust system with muffler bypass valves has been installed.
