The 15″ Rallye wheels wear polished trim rings and are mounted with Goodyear Polyglas GT F60-15 white-letter tires. A space-saving spare and jack are mounted in the trunk. E74 Hemi cars received a special suspension, a front sway bar, and firm-ride shock absorbers. Braking is handled by unassisted drums at all four corners.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in white vinyl joined by a color-coordinated headliner and door panels. Equipment includes a center console, a heater and defroster, faux woodgrain trim accents, a Hurst pistol-grip shifter, polished door sills, front shoulder belts, rear lap belts, and a Chrysler solid-state radio. The left door panel is said to have been replaced under previous ownership.
The woodgrain-rimmed steering wheel frames a 150-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, a combination gauge, and an analog clock. The five-digit odometer shows 35k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The E74-code 426ci Hemi V8 came equipped with dual four-barrel carburetors breathing through a Shaker hood and was factory rated at 425 horsepower and 490 lb-ft of torque.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The A33 Track Pak included a 9.75″ Dana 60 rear axle with 3.54:1 gears and a limited-slip differential.
The fender tag indicates that this In-Violet Metallic (FC7) 1970 ’Cuda coupe was built at the Hamtramck assembly plant and factory equipped with an (E74) 426ci Hemi V8 rated at 425 horsepower along with a four-speed manual transmission (D21).
The Galen’s Registry visual inspection document details the components and casting numbers that were inspected in 2007.
